1. Do I need a business license?

All businesses in the Village of Grayslake, including home based businesses, are required by Village Code Chapter 5 to apply for a business license before opening. Business licenses are valid from May 1 through April 30 of each year. Failure to obtain the required business license can result in enforcement actions by the Village, including a fine up to $500.00 and/or suspension of business activity.

5. How and when do I renew my current business license?

All business licenses expire on April 30 of each year and are valid from May 1 through April 30. Please call Village Hall at (847) 223-8515 with any questions about renewals.

6. How do I obtain a Raffle License?
