[ARCHIVED] Grayslake Heritage Center to Host Program about the Lusitania and World War I

The museum is pleased to welcome actor and historian R. J. Lindsey on Saturday, April 1 at 2 p.m. for a detailed photo story of the Lusitania and World War I, with selected Western Front battles including American victories.  Lindsey will portray Carr Van Anda, Managing Editor of the New York Times during World War I.  In addition, to the Lusitania and World War I, Van Anda recalls other major events during his storied career, including the Russo-Japanese War, the Cubs 1908 World Series victory, and the sinking of the Titanic.  This program is held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the United States' entry into World War I.  The museum's galleries will be open before and after the program.  Attendees are also encouraged to visit Millennium Plaza at the corner of Seymour and Center Streets to view a special display about Grayslake's participation in the Great War.
