Village residents have easy access to two commuter rail lines.
The Lake Street Station serves Metra's Milwaukee District North
line between Chicago and Fox Lake. The station is located on Lake Street south of Route
120. Metra owns the station building and parking lots. Metra is responsible for determining the number
of parking spaces at the station. The Village maintains the parking lots for Metra. Parking
is available daily on a first-come, first-serve basis for a fee of $1.50/day
(this fee is subject to change without notice). Exact change is required; Metra pay boxes do not dispense change. Payment can be made by dollar
bills, coins, or special commuter debit cards which may be purchased inside the train station. Click

The Washington Street Station serves Metra's North Central line between Chicago and Antioch. The station is located on Washington Street west of Lake Street. Parking is available daily on a first-come, first-serve basis for a fee of $1.50/day (this fee is subject to change without notice). Exact change is required; Metra pay boxes do not dispense change. Payment can be made by dollar bills or coins. Click to view North Central train schedule.
The North Central line is also served by the Libertyville/Prairie Crossing Station located on Harris Road and Route 137. This lot is maintained and operated by the Village of Libertyville. The daily parking fee at the Libertyville/Prairie Crossing Station is $1.50/day.
Commuters needing to park overnight at either the Lake Street or Washington Street Station must pre-pay for parking. The $1.50/day fee must be paid at the Grayslake Village Hall, 10 South Seymour Avenue, prior to parking overnight in any Metra station parking lot.
