Open space is, and will be, the largest land use in Grayslake. Grayslake has approximately 3500 acres of open space and environment protection areas. The Village's commitment to open space and environmental protection benefits residents by providing convenient access to forest preserves and helps reduce the VillageÍs future population growth. Some of these areas include Almond Road, Brae Loch Golf Course, and Rollins Savannah forest preserves, the Libertyville Prairie Conservancy Conservation Area, and hundreds of acres of community parks.
