    On Wednesday, September 24, from 3-7 p.m., visit the museum’s tent at the Grayslake Farmers Market. Children will have the opportunity to make a toy biplane, commemorating the centennial of World War I.

  2. Grayslake Historical Society to Conduct Train Themed Bus Tour

    On Thursday, September 25, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., the Grayslake Historical Society will present History on Track, an all-day bus tour of local museums which follows the old Wisconsin Central Railroad tracks from Antioch to Buffalo Grove, with stops at Lake Villa, Mundelein and Grayslake. Cost is $22/participant, with a registration deadline of September 18. Register through the Grayslake Community Park District, 847-223-7529 or www.glpd.com.

  3. Folk Musician Lee Murdock to Share Ghost Songs of the Great Lakes

    September 27, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ Centennial Park

    On Saturday, September 27 at 6:30 p.m., folk Musician and storyteller Lee Murdock will perform ghost songs and stories of the Great Lakes at the community hearth in Grayslake’s Centennial Park. The park is located at the corner of Whitney and Center Streets. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic baskets for a night to remember. (Rain location: Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum, 164 Hawley Street). Suggested donation: $3/adults, $1/children.
