Please be advised that due to construction delays at the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum, we are moving the premiere of the new exhibition, Food, Family and Tradition: Dining in Grayslake to Friday, November 27. In the interim, we cordially invite the public to a special program on Saturday, October 24 between 10 a.m.-4 p.m. to sample historic Grayslake recipes and share stories of Grayslake restaurants. Please come prepared to discuss your past and present favorite restaurants, memories of dining and Grayslake and favorite family recipes. Museum volunteers and staff will be on hand to record your memories and incorporate them into the new exhibition. Past and present restauranteurs and staff are encouraged to attend and share images, menus and memories.
Stay tuned for an exciting line up of supporting programs, including a One Book, One Community reading program, in partnership with Grayslake Area Public Library District. We will be reading Jim Gaffigan’s book, Food: A Love Story later in the season. We look forward to seeing you soon at the museum.
