The second floor is home to the Esper A. Petersen gallery, which houses Embracing Change: The Growth of Grayslake. This 1,200 square foot exhibition uses stunning images and artifacts from the Grayslake Historical Society's collection to tell the story of the origins and evolution of Grayslake. A second, 990 square foot gallery hosts changing exhibitions throughout the year. Smaller break out displays, featuring antique appliances, gadgets, and even a doctor's office, round out this space. The Executive Director's office and exhibit preparation space are adjacent to the gallery.
