Bicycle Registration

The Grayslake Police Department offers bicycle registration for all Grayslake residents. Registering your bicycle can help the Police Department in returning your bicycle in the case that it is lost or stolen.

To register your bicycle, please come into the Grayslake Police Department, located at 10 South Seymour Avenue in Downtown Grayslake.

Car Seat Safety Checks

The Grayslake Police Department provides free car seat safety checks for all Grayslake residents. With this service, a certified officer will check your child's car seat to ensure that it is safe and has been installed correctly.

Explorers Program

The Police Department offers an Explorer Program where young adults between the ages of 16-21 can participate in various policing activities and explore career opportunities in law enforcement. The explorers are involved with officers in activities such as policing of community events, traffic control, and community services. View the Explorers Program Brochure (PDF) to learn more.

House Watch

Residents who are leaving town for extended periods of time may call the Police Department at 847-223-2341 to sign-up for the House Watch Program. The Police Department will specifically patrol those residences enrolled in the program periodically during the time the resident is out of town.

Vehicle Lock-Outs

The Police Department's Community Service Officers will provide free assistance to residents when they have locked themselves out of their vehicles. To utilize this service, please call the Police Department's non-emergency number at 847-223-2341.
